Now that we've run 10 miles and 11 miles, how about we cut back the mileage this week? I thought we could have some fun running around the stores in Parkway Pointe and then check out the neighborhoods to the northwest.
Here's a link to the route: www.usatf.org/routes/view.asp?rID=176401
We'll start the way we do when we're going to run the trail, but we'll go on down to loop around Wal-Mart and Target, head west from there, run north to Arizona Tile Company, head over to Koke Mill, then go north to Hedley, Meadowbrook, and Iles back to West White Oaks Drive and a short jog back to Panera. I'll set out water at the intersection of Koke Mill and Hedley.
The map on USATF.org says this route is 5.79. After running 11 miles last Saturday, 5.79 should be quite enough for us!
See you at 7 am at Panera West. Only three more weeks until the Frostbite Festival!

OK Mara, Judy,
Let's meet at Panera at 6:20, run the trail to Chatham Rd and back to Panera to meet the group. Should give us 10.25 or so for the day. Sound good? It'll be getting light by then and the trail is eaily navigated.
Anyone else interested in getting in extra miles Saturday are welcome to show up and run with us. See everyone tomorrow!
I would come along, but you ladies are too fast for me. What's worse is the way you laugh at me on your way back . . . .
Nice deflection, Reflective Man. Now tell the folks the REAL reason you won't meet us early....
(You know, the part about how your powers of luminosity don't work in the pre-dawn and being caught in the sunlight will reveal your REAL identity, blah, blah, blah...)
That sounds great! I will be there at 6:20 or a little before. C-ya then!
I would like to volunteer at the Jingle Bell run and the Frostbite. Who would I contact for either of those races? Thanks!
Joy,
Your best bet is to contact the race directors:
Brent Leach, bleach@espcpa.com
Kevan Stapleton, kstapleton@espcpa.com
Anyone else who wants to volunteer should contact them.
Does anyone know how to contact the race director for the jingle bell? the srrc website says the director is Nikole Cain.
ncain@arthritis.org is the e-mail address that I have for Nikole Cain. I e-mailed her to ask about helping too! I am sure your help will be greatly appreciated.
Joy , I called the phone number that was listed for the Jingle Bell race and talked to some gal, gave her my name and phone number. She told me someone would call me but as of today the 13th I haven't received a call. I think I'll just go out there Saturday morning.
