Take Your Pick Saturday!

This is a special Saturday--it's Take Your Pick Saturday!

Yeah, you can take your pick of distance to run--6, 10, or 11.3! We'll start from Panera West at 7 am. Here's a link to the route:

www.usatf.org/routes/view.asp?rID=185403

If you want to run 6, just go to FitClub West and take the described route directly back to Panera. If you want to run 10, turn around at Chatham Road instead of crossing and going into Washington Park.

I'll set out Gatorade and water at FitClub West and water at Washington Park. And I plan to run the whole route SLOW if anyone wants to go with me!

See you Saturday.

bjmans--I have all the patience in the world if you are truly ready for that distance. Let me know.

MaryThon--It's gonna be in the 40s on Saturday. Too hot for chocolate, ya know?

Barry, I completed my first 1/2 in September, so I have ran that far before. I would really like to try the whole distance on Saturday.

Is there a two mile route? lol I'll try to run the 10 miler with someone but I don't think I'll make it 11.3. I hope I can get out of bed.

Are you guys wearing shorts?

Barry House said...

Shorts? At the moment I'm wearing blue jeans and a sweater. What are YOU wearing?

Barry, was just sitting here thinking ...... Heck yeah I am wearing shorts right under my long pants. LOL According to the Weather Channel at 7am tomorrow morning the feels like temp is supposed to be 28. That may be warm for some, but it's still cold to me. See you in the morning.

Alright here's my silly question..I only have time to do the 6miler & I don't follow directions very well & I won't know who's running what so I'm panicking already! Does everyone run to Fitclub & proceed onward if they are doing more? If I can get 2 Fitclub surely I can get back...right?

Anonymous--I think there are other people planning to do just 6 miles so you probably won't be alone.

Coming back from FitClub is pretty easy. Head south on Rickard Road, left on Old Jax, left on Wood Mill (which is the second street to the left) and follow the street as it winds. Then left on Greenbriar and right on West White Oaks back to Panera.

Great run, Barry. Thanks so much for coordinating this and having the water/Gatorade out. It was great to see so many people out, and the sun actually made a 10-second appearance.

As usual, we took some liberties with the route...

Barry, thanks for the water! We decided to cut it to 6 cuz we had so much to squeeze in today, but we sure paid for it! That wind was killer going back.

Chuck, what mood was Wayne in today? Sadistic or Jokingly Cruel?

Mary R and Debi, which way did you guys go? I didn't get to run with ya at all!

Sorry about the return leg of the route heading directly into the wind, everyone. I just kept telling myself, it could be windy on race day, it could be windy on race day!

Barb Michelen quite spamming us!

Jenni,
You missed a great class Sat. Wayne was on fire and so was the class. It was a tough one because I started to cramp 20 minutes into it. I should watch out for my potassium or magnesium levels when I do double sessions like that.

BTW, Im going to make mucho dollars according to Barb Michelen so I can pay for my upcoming wedding next year.

By the way...this is Barry's route from last Saturday. I'm not sure what's in store for this week, so keep checking back to the blogs.

Yeah, I'm trying to come up with something similar to last week, with the option for people who want to run 6 miles or so as well as those who want to run 11 or 13 miles.

Oh, the heavy mantle of leadership . . . . LOL!
